In the rural heart of Mangoloenje, in the extremely hot and resilient community of Chikwawa District, hope has been taking root—quite literally. Four years ago, FCM began an agricultural initiative on a humble patch of land generously gifted by Chief Roderick. What started as a small beginning has now blossomed into a thriving 2-hectare cooperative farm, nourished by dedication, community spirit, and the promise of a better future.
FCM (Family Care Ministries) has continued to walk alongside the farmers, supplying water pumps that have helped transform dry soil into fields of maize, sorghum, and other essential crops. The impact has been nothing short of remarkable. From an initial group of just 60 determined individuals, the cooperative now supports over 450 beneficiaries, including families, elderly community members, and child-headed households who rely on these harvests not only for food, but for dignity and survival.
Today, as the project grows, so does its need. To secure consistent irrigation and expand production, the cooperative urgently requires a solar pump and 300 meters of PVC piping. With this support, the people of Mangoloenje can continue cultivating their land, strengthening food security, and building a future where no one is left behind.
This little cooperative has become a beacon of resilience—proof that when a community is empowered, transformation follows. To further aid the progress that has been made we need to raise R59 500.00. This would be to fund the solar pump (R32 500) and the bore hole and water tank (R27 000).

In the quiet corners of the world, six faithful workers are ministering to souls in dire need of hope. They seek no glory and no personal gain. Their only mission is to bring the healing truth of Scripture to those who have never heard it in their own tongue. However, to reach the “every nation and tongue” mandate, they need the printed Word. We are seeking R60 000 to fund the production and print of these booklets. They will be available in English, Shona (Zimbabwe), Chewa (Malawi), Swahili (Tanzania) and Portuguese (Mozambique). Your support will provide the much needed “bread” that these workers desperately need to carry the Word to a spiritually starving and dying world. Every booklet printed becomes a seed of hope. Every verse shared, a spark of light. And every act of giving, a part of a harvest only eternity can measure. If you feel the weight of this calling, please partner with us today. Your support matters now more than ever. We are seeking funding for registration to support 50 dedicated women from Orange Farm. Women who have chosen to rise above challenging and impoverished circumstances to better themselves and uplift the communities they live in. These women are currently enrolled in a SETA-accredited, NQF level 4, Early Childhood Development (ECD) course. It is a year-long program that equips them with the skills, knowledge and confidence to shape the live of young children during their most critical developmental years. Despite limited financial means, each student has shown extraordinary commitment by promising to cover their own transport costs to and from the course for entire year We are asking that you play a part by paying for the registration fees. These fees need to be settled by the end of April 2026. These fees are R3000 per student. This leads to a total cost of R150 000 that needs to be raised. Every contribution counts. Whether you sponsor a single student or sponsor a group of 10 students. It is a contribution that will make a change not only to a woman but to a family and to a community. Early in the morning, before the sun has fully risen over the dusty fields of rural Zimbabwe, a young child begins a long walk. Step by step, along narrow dirt paths and open farmland, this child walks up to 15 kilometers just to reach the nearest school. By the time the school day begins, their small legs are already tired. And when the day ends, the long journey home begins again.
For many children in the farming communities around Redmill, this is not an unusual story. It is their daily reality. Some children simply stop going to school because the journey is too long. Some families cannot provide the support their children need. And many elderly people in these villages are left alone, struggling without help or hope.
But in the middle of these challenges, something beautiful has begun to grow. A Place Called Hope In a rural farming area called Redmill Farm, Pastor Gabriel and the local churches have established a small centre known as the Place of Hope Centre. This humble place has already become a refuge for the community.
Children gather here.
Elderly people come for help and fellowship.
Churches from nearby farms gather here for large Sunday services and ministry conferences.
It is a place where people pray together, share their burdens, and remind each other that they are not forgotten. But the vision for this place is even bigger. Because so many children walk extreme distances to school, the dream is to start a school right here at the Place of Hope Centre, giving children the chance to learn without walking hours each day. Imagine the difference that would make in a child’s life. Imagine the opportunities it could open.
But before this dream can become a reality, some very basic needs must be met. The Needs Are Simple but Life-Changing Right now, the centre does not have a reliable source of clean water. Families who gather there need a safe place to drink water and cook. A borehole must be drilled to provide clean water. The cost for drilling, the pump, and the water tank is R33,900 ($2,000).
There are also no proper sanitation facilities. For the safety and dignity of everyone who comes to the centre, toilets must be built urgently. Due to pressure from the Ministry of Health, temporary pit toilets must be installed immediately. Two pit toilets—one for ladies and one for men—will cost R16,102.50 ($950). Two classroom buildings have already been started and even have roofs, but they cannot be used yet. They still need doors, windows, frames, and bricks to be completed. The cost to finish the classrooms is R33,900 ($2,000). There is also a small four-room house on the property that needs to be completed so the ministry team can serve the community effectively. The cost to finish the house is R25,428 ($1,500).
The total amount needed to complete these essential projects is R109,327.50 ($6,450). In many parts of the world, this amount might seem small. But in Redmill, R109,327.50 ($6,450) could transform the future of an entire community.
It would mean: * Clean water for families and children. * Safe sanitation facilities. * Classrooms where children can learn close to home. * A centre where ministry, care, and community can continue to grow.
Your Gift Can Become Someone’s Miracle
For the child who walks hours just to go to school...
For the grandmother who comes to the centre looking for comfort and prayer…
For the pastors serving faithfully in remote communities…
The Place of Hope Centre is exactly what its name promises — hope.
Today, we are trusting God to provide the R109,327.50 ($6,450) needed to complete this work. Maybe you can give R50. Maybe you can give R1000. Maybe you or your church can sponsor a larger part of the project. Every gift brings us closer to turning this vision into reality. Together, we can help create a place where children can learn, families can gather, and hope can grow for generations.
